2014 Capital Campaign

ARC closes in on the capital campaign goal of $800,000 after the extraordinarily generous gift made by ARC's board chair, Joanna Pace and her husband David Brackett. Funds will help make low-cost spaying and neutering services more accessible and affordable to low-income pet owners in Sarasota, Manatee, Desoto and Charlotte counties. ARC is building a 3,800 sq/ft spay and neuter clinic just east of I-75 near Fruitville Library, a move that will allow ARC to nearly triple the capacity by increasing the number of procedures up to 30 a day.

A new pledge is helping ARC take a giant step toward meeting its capital campaign goal. Co-founder and philanthropist, Ira Barsky and his wife Lee committed $100,000 in the form of a matching challenge grant. Ira's gift will be fulfilled when $700,000 has been raised. ARC has raised $535,000 to date and is currently accepting donations to raise the additional $265,000 needed to qualify for this gift.

They don't understand. But you do. Your gift of love will help prevent countless generations of innocent puppies and kittens from entering a world with no room for them. Since 2002, ARC has spayed and neutered nearly 35,000 cats and dogs in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Please consider a donation to address the problem at its cause and end the killing of adoptable cats and dogs. For shelter animals like these, there really is no place like a home.
